H.O.P.E. Youth Ranch....a place for healing broken lives, both the Child's and the Parents.
HOPE - Helping Overcome Past Experiences
HOPE Youth Ranch, Inc. is a 9 to 12 month, fourteen bed residential program for girls 11 to 16 years of age who are dealing with a number of life controlling issues. Our program is a highly structured, faith-based, therapeutic program along with remedial education through our in-campus private school HOPE Ranch Learning Academy.
The children reside in a home-like environment and are supervised by live-in, professional Behavior Coaches. Our 9+ acre facility has more than ample areas for physical activities, a pool for a bit of relaxation, and 8 horses for therapeutic activities and riding fun.
We employ ten full time professional staff members, each with the appropriate education and experience suited for their roles. Two professional staff (husband and wife) members live with the girls.
Student life is comprised of four areas of concentration: Character building, Spiritual growth, Academic achievement, and Counseling.
Character building is integral to life long success after graduating our program. By building and demonstrating specific character traits, the child learns to do what is right, even when not supervised by others.
Spiritual growth fills the void in their lives and the long term force to direct their path even in difficult times. This growth is developed through church, chapel services, group studies and individual studies in a fun manner. The children learn how to read and apply Biblical principles in their daily living.
Our in campus private school, HOPE Ranch Learning Academy provides remedial education inline with Sunshine State Standard from the State of Florida. A qualified full time Teacher and Teacher Aide work with the girls to accomplish astonishing results during their time here. All credits earned are transferable to the school the child goes to after graduation.
Our counseling methods are unique and highly effective. Our in-house PhD level Licensed Mental Health Counselor has over 20 years of experience with adolescent counseling. Counseling sessions are weekly individual and group session. While some counseling sessions occur in the counselor's office, most take place in the various pastures around our property where horses are employed in the counseling process. Certified by the Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association (EAGALA) this highly effective counseling method focuses on behavior and cause and effect relationships, helping the child better and quickly understand how their actions impact others.

What is a teen's life like at HOPE Youth Ranch?
From the time they drive up and see the breathtaking oaks in the front lawn and the horses out to pasture, the teens that come to HOPE Ranch realize that it is a special place. The question asked almost immediately is..."when can I move in?" HOPE Ranch is a unique place that offers the warmth of a home in a ranch-style setting, lessening any feeling that it's a "facility".
Our Behavior Coaches (married couples) role model a healthy marriage and provide the family environment for the teens within each home. Our on-site mental health counselor is available daily to address the needs of the teens as they arise from interacting with others in school, church or the community. Individual, group and family therapy sessions are conducted on a weekly basis and as needed.
Horses are a very big part of our program. There is something about a horse that can bring out deep hidden hurts that a child has shared with no one. Our EAGALA certified therapist and our equine specialist are able to observe behaviors out at the stables and the riding arena that have not been disclosed in traditional therapy.
Most important of all, the teens that come to HOPE Ranch are introduced to the Great Physician - Jesus Christ. He is the one who truly does the healing; we are all simply His instruments. All teens admitted to our program understand that "faith" is a huge part of who we are. They understand prior to admittance that we pray often, have a time of nightly devotion led by the Behavior Coaches and that youth group and Sunday services are also part of "the program". Teens are encouraged to participate but are never obligated...they all enthusiastically attend every one.
It has been an awesome experience for us to witness God's changing power in these young lives.
