Stuck...
Do you know what it’s like to be stuck in the middle? It is never fun.
She knows this terrible feeling of being stuck. Her older sister and younger brother have already been adopted. They have found loving families to care for them and love them as their own. And she is stuck in the middle, waiting for her special family. Her father has died, her mother has given up all parental rights, and neither of her siblings’ adoptive families have asked for her. She is stuck.
Unfortunately, statistics say older children are less likely to be adopted. She is fifteen. Despite all that has been taken from her, she still gives. Her gifts are as little as a smile, a drawing, or a hug. She loves to give. She has such a beautiful heart, seemingly untainted, even with all the hurt she has bottled inside. Though she may be stuck in the middle, she has faith.
Every night she prays for her family, present and future. She has hope. When she turns eighteen, she wants to find her mother, and visit her sister and brother. We love spending time with her. She has such a sweet spirit. She loves to laugh, and rarely “means” to be funny. But she often makes us laugh. Please pray God continues to mold her into the beautiful woman she is becoming. Pray God grants her unending patience and perseverance as she waits.
