The Fighter
He is a twelve year old boy in an eight year olds frame. Yet, his small body does not hinder his tough spirit. He has two younger sisters, and is instinctually protective of them both. But hidden beneath his hard shell is an angry young boy, who longs to be reunited with his family.
Consumed in drugs and a life of selfishness, his mother wants nothing to do with him. Every conversation fills his mind with false hope. He only wants to be loved and accepted by his mother, and she does not even care that he is her son.
Unfortunately he often allows his quick temper to get the best of him. The small things seem to blow way out of proportion and he curls into a ball to cope. But when he chooses to leap over those hurdles, he allows his personality to shine.
He loves to play sports. Basketball and soccer are two of his favorites. Swift on his feet and cunning in his thoughts, he plays a great game! He has a genuine smile and will definitely grow up to be a handsome man. His small heart is so big, and deep down he longs to make people happy.
Please pray that he gives all his worries and fears over to the only One who can heal and comfort. We are continuing to teach him how to be a man of honor. Pray God gives us wisdom in how to teach and raise this mighty warrior. Pray he begins to truly understand who the Creator made him to be, and that he finds his own special place in the family of the Almighty Father.
