In 2009 our school expanded to students in the community by helping one child with Autism be successful at school again. In 2010 that number had risen to 10 students from the community (doubling our school popluation). In 2011 we grew again by 10 students as the word got out about the work being done at the ranch.
We have been educated in the last few years to the immense need in our community for a school where children with special needs can feel safe and successful at school again. Having outgrown our current space (prior Administrative Buildings) we have purchased 5 Modular Classrooms to allow us to expand the school and serve more children.
School at HOPE Youth Ranch is as one parent recently said "Out of the Box" and "working".
A recent newspaper article highlighted our school and the need for funding to complete the expansion project. The phone has not stopped ringing with parents seeking help. We have students on a waiting list right now because we simply do not have room to help them. As their parents share their stories it breaks our hearts to say "we can't" because we have no room. We know we can help but we need your help to do so.
The cost of the project has been more than we expected as we recently were made aware of $51,000 in Impact Fees that must be paid prior to occupying the buildings.
We need your help to finish this project. Will you consider making a donation to help us meet this goal.
